Mabel, Reana, and Hearst CastleREANA LOUISE! I have been following Reana's blog for a few years now and have always loved her makes, fun sense of humor and personality, as well as her food posts. Last December she was in San Francisco and we didn't have the chance to meet up since I was coming back from London. When she e-mailed and told me that she was going to be in my area in August I practically begged her to come stay with me.
Mabel skirt. Yes, this is my fourth Mabel because I love that pattern so much and no, I don't have anything new to say about it. I just sewed the pattern exactly as the directions told me to for view 3 and didn't make any adjustments. The fabric is from Michael Levine and has held up well over the last few months of constant wear.
On the way down from the Castle we saw zebras and across the street at the beach there were a ton of whales jumping in the water and showing off! It wasn't a bad place to watch the sunset.
It was so much fun having Reana and Kieran stay with us for a few days. Ideally Reana would just move to California permanently so we could hang out more, but that's just me being selfish :)
