I would love to do some dyeing, buuuuuut I've been forbidden from doing it in the apartment! :D I'm accident-prone and messy and poor Blake would probably have a nervous breakdown from hovering over me hovering over the dye vat!Gingerhttp://gingermakes.wordpress.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1401460045100208871.post-31893713279046381072014-12-11T19:27:58.154-08:002014-12-11T19:27:58.154-08:00Congrats on your first fabric dye! It's a pret...Congrats on your first fabric dye! It's a pretty pale yellow. I was at a fabric store looking at lace and they only have bright white. The sales clerk suggested tea dyeing it to make it off-white. I didn't try it but that's something you might want to consider. Brew some black tea and dip your bright white fabric in that. :)

When I was in high school, I did some batik fabric dyeing - using wax on cotton and some silk fabric for areas that would resist color. And then dipping the fabric in dye. I made some pillows and a dress.Chuleenanhttp://csews.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1401460045100208871.post-23173293492997493592014-12-11T12:11:44.807-08:002014-12-11T12:11:44.807-08:00You are totally welcome to. I think I also heated the koolaid mixture. I think heat also sets koolaid, cause I died my hair permanently teal in high school when I dipped it in some boiling koolaid. I thought it was going to be a temporary, but it stayed till I cut it off!MarrieBnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1401460045100208871.post-57315109110679602442014-12-10T11:12:34.815-08:002014-12-10T11:12:34.815-08:00Thanks, Jo!!! xoThanks, Jo!!! xomisscrayolacreepyhttp://www.misscrayolacreepy.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1401460045100208871.post-16136511608572746902014-12-10T11:12:19.256-08:002014-12-10T11:12:19.256-08:00Thanks, Marrie!
