I feel like, with a stretchier, flimsier jersey, you should shorten the neckband piece so it's stretched more and can't be as floppy.Gingerhttp://gingermakes.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1401460045100208871.post-58764406748355405162012-04-25T23:35:45.837-07:002012-04-25T23:35:45.837-07:00I have a renfrew with a funky collar (I'm not ...I have a renfrew with a funky collar (I'm not saying yours is funky, I can't even see it that well on the screen I'm using because I can't blow it up) that I wear to the gym. I have to make another one too :) I have heard that if you use a stretchier knit than called for, you should cut an inch or two out of the length of the neckband.

Stretch it to fit as you sew, and it's supposed to make it lie nice and flat. Hope this helps!
Hey, you can even try to reattach it perhaps! However, like others, I think it looks fine :)

I have something I recently made which could be fixed, but it would be a tonne of work. I'm still not sure if I'll fix it or not. I keep looking at Taffy - a project that could/should have been made in two days tops, and turning my nose up at her for some reason LOL - love the Renfrew; the colour is so fresh and pretty - perfect for spring :) Thanks for the tip on the fabric; I was gonna do one in jersey too - but I think I still might cause I think your collar looks 'on purpose' if you know what i mean :)Symonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17965640501644567685noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1401460045100208871.post-58877261167808663442012-04-25T13:58:35.132-07:002012-04-25T13:58:35.132-07:00That is a pretty top on you! You could "fix" the neck binding by using embroidery floss and spiraling over and over on the neckline to give it a twisted look.Maryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03517527498809073174noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1401460045100208871.post-77516117630171607302012-04-25T13:32:03.767-07:002012-04-25T13:32:03.767-07:00Renfrew really is a great pattern. It's like a little more texture to draw your eye around there.

I have a bit of reverse magic closet. I love what I make the first few times I wear it. I have shirts I made before I discovered the wonders of a FBA and I don't wear them any more. I can't quite part with them, I can't add more fabric in to really fix it, but when I put them on I tug and I pull so it's not right.Seraphinalinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12706215125457113080noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1401460045100208871.post-55174451720966213132012-04-25T13:14:01.283-07:002012-04-25T13:14:01.283-07:00I love the color you chose, very spring time, whic...I love the color you chose, very spring time, which I'm sure is why you chose it!
As far as fixing...if it doesn't bother me, and it's not a special occasion make, I'll wear it for a while. Then I might go back and fix it. Usually, I just can't be bothered right after finishing, cause I want to keep moving on!Jillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14989756320124172799noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1401460045100208871.post-48851796561114602632012-04-25T12:49:32.781-07:002012-04-25T12:49:32.781-07:00As long as I can fix things, I tend to. So "fixing" tends to mean "fixing, to the best of my ability within the limited time I have, to the extent that I can wear it through tomorrow evening/Christmas dinner/two openers and an extended set." Both because this isn't always the same as "permanently fixing for lasting effect" and because occasion-based clothes don't always wardrobize well, a lot of my stuff ends up serving its purpose and then getting remade. I'd say I have maybe three dresses right now that are still in their originally intended/sewn form...Lenora Janehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12719454361141187505noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1401460045100208871.post-17286937235865817962012-04-25T12:28:53.963-07:002012-04-25T12:28:53.963-07:00I love that color on you! Otherwise I'll wear it with something else that can possible hide the flaws, like a second layer.Melizza Makeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09535548992762009971noreply@blogger.com
