I was never taught to sew with a machine and had to work it out myself (with the help of my husband, who luckily attended a school where it was believed that sewing soothes the savage beast - I didn't even know I had to put the presser foot down!). Without the blogging community out there to inspire me and teach me funny little tricks, I wouldn't be enjoying my sewing nearly as much as I am!
