Sew Grateful Week

One of my favorite bloggers, Debi, dreamed up this wonderful week which you can read all about here. I have a LOT to be grateful for when it comes to this amazing online community of sewers. From all of you I get inspired, support when I need it (which is a lot), kind words, and I have made new friends. I am so lucky!!!

To kick off Sew Grateful Week I am hosting a giveaway for a Butterick pattern. To enter all you need to do is leave a comment telling me what makes you "Sew Grateful." That's it, easy! The giveaway will run until this Saturday, February 11th, at 6:00 PST and is open to everyone worldwide. One comment per person, please.

The pattern. How cute is the waist area?

Sizes 14, 16, 18,  and 20.

Back of the envelope.

  2. I am sew grateful to have the opportunity to ask the 'stupid' questions! It seems that the more advanced sewists have not forgotten what it was like to be a newbie, and are more than happy to help with your issues or problems.
    YAY for being helpful! :)

  12. I'm Sew Grateful for blogging... I was never taught to sew with a machine and had to work it out myself (with the help of my husband, who luckily attended a school where it was believed that sewing soothes the savage beast - I didn't even know I had to put the presser foot down!). Without the blogging community out there to inspire me and teach me funny little tricks, I wouldn't be enjoying my sewing nearly as much as I am!

I'm extremely grateful for the creative genes that have been passed to me from my mother & grandmother. The list could go on forever!

As for being grateful - what would we do without the amazing Online Sewing Community and bloggers like you? I have learnt so much from everyone's tips and ideas and comments and sew-alongs. You are all my first source for sewing advice and support. As someone fairly new to sewing everything that you all share on your web sites for us to read and learn from is so very much appreciated. Thank you all so much for your kindness and generosity.
